Janet Jackson’s “Unbreakable” tour is underway, and the legendary pop star is cementing her fine wine status as she head from city to city. Hitting that stage with classics such as “Control,” “Nasty,” “Pleasure Principle” and “What Have You Done For Me Lately,” Ms. Jackson is evoking nostalgia among aunties everywhere, but she is also keeping things current. In addition to teasing a new Missy Elliott-assisted singleduring her set, Jackson has intertwined a certain rapper’s sample of her “Any Time Any Place” track into her set.
Fans captured videos of Jackson as she segwayed from her own song and into Kendrick Lamar’s “Poetic Justice” at her Grand Rapids show on Friday night (Sept. 11), and the footage reveals that the turn up is real:

Jackson has also paid homage to the present-day by collaborating with J. Cole for aremix to her single, “No Sleeep.” And while the rapper has yet to join the singer on stage for her tour, K. Dot may also get a call to make a guest appearance, as the tour is scheduled to run for 83 more dates and into June 2016. Sounds like plenty of time for our dreams to come true.
