The family of Suge Knight’s hit and run victim Terry Carter have filed a lawsuit against the former Death Row CEO, and Ice Cube and Dr. Dre are named as defendants. Terry’s wife and children filed the lawsuit, and according to TMZ, they are claiming that Dre and Cube hired known gang members as security on set of “Straight Out of Compton” in a gang-heavy neighborhood.
The Carter family claim that various elements led to the death of their beloved father and husband, including the lack of security at Tam’s Burgers, where the film was being shot. They said that many violent incidents have taken place at the burger joint and the Carter family thinks they should have hired security.
Terry’s family also point to the fact that Suge was scared after the alleged gang member security started fighting and threatening the former music exec. They add that Suge’s panic led to him hastfully backing over and killing Terry in the parking lot.
