That didn’t happen.
Remy was kept in captivity, disappointing her friends and family (who apparently had a yellow Lambo waiting for her), Twitter fans (who had the rapper trending), and all the rappers who showed support for the emcee leading up to her release.
Folks from REVOLT reached out to officials at Bedford, who said Remy was involved with a disciplinary problem on July 21.
What could this have been? If you remember, July 21 was the date Remy called into The Angie Martinez Show on Power 105.
MTV reached out to Linda Foglia, a public information officer for the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision and she kinda confirmed that it was the phone call that did Remy in:
“Remy Smith’s tentative release date of July 31 was postponed due to a misbehavior report involving a July 21 incident for phone violations, particularly third party calling,”
Foglia went on to say:
“We expect to resolve that misbehavior report sometime in the next week or so.”
Guess we’ll have to wait some more time before the Remy Ma takeover officially begins.
