Mr Marin says he partied with Jackson before being invited to look at Floyd Mayweather’s gym, where he says he was pistol-whipped by two of Jackson’s security and the items were taken.

According to TMZ, Mr Marin claims to have met with Jackson at Drai’s nightclub in The Cromwell hotel on Friday night, after the rapper had performed there.

The jeweler says he partied with Jackson and his people into the early hours of Saturday morning, before he was invited to see Floyd Mayweather’s private gym ahead of the fight that night.

However, he claims that once inside the gym Jackson’s entourage set on him, pistol whipping him in the back of the head and making off with the watch and chain.

Jackson denies the claims, with lawyer Scott Leemon telling TMZ: ‘On behalf of 50, I can adamantly deny that he or his security had anything to do with these baseless and false allegations.’

Jackson, a one-time business partner of Mayweather, was one of the most visible celebrities on the Mayweather v Pacquiao fight weekend at the start of this month.

At one point he was caught bragging about betting $1.6million on Mayweather to win, though he later played down his success, telling journalists that he ‘didn’t win anything.’

Jackson and Mayweather have a troubled history which dates back to 2012 when the boxing super-star was jailed for 90 days for assaulting a woman.

The pair had previously worked together to promote Mayweather’s fights, including HBO films showing the athlete surrounded by women and living a lavish lifestyle.

However after Mayweather was jailed, Jackson was accused of interfering with his boxing team, and was promptly sacked.

The feud culminated last year when Jackson went on national TV to dare Mayweather, who left school early and survived an abusive childhood, to read a page from Harry Potter – saying that the boxer stumbled over the big words.

Last year Jackson and his crew were again at the centre of a robbery investigation after Slow, co-owner of hip-hop TV channel Slowbucks, was allegedly robbed while the rapper was performing.

The alleged theft was caught at the edge of video of 50 Cent performing on June 1 at the Summer Jam Festival in Jersey, sparking a row between the rapper and Slow – real name Windsor Lubin.
