Eight members of New Jersey’s MoneyCello Blood gang were arrested for waving around guns in the D.F.G. “MoneyCello” music video. Although the video was uploaded to YouTube last year, it grabbed the attention of the Jersey City Street Crimes Unit a few months back.
After investigating the video, officials believe one real gun was waved around in the video, and experts couldn’t determine if a second gun was real or a replica. The police report stated,” While ostensibly an amateur music video, (the video) is in fact a promotion of this criminal street gang and a threat against opponents of this criminal street gang.”
Officials believe that the crimes committed on the video were unlawful possession of a handgun, possession of a handgun by a felon, and possession of a handgun by a minor. Police reveal that the investigation is still ongoing with the case.
