Bow Wow has been with Cash Money since 2009, but the Columbus-born entertainer told fans that he parted ways with the label due to several reasons. The former 106 & Park host revealed in a Facebook video that he wanted to take control over his music, especially since the music he recorded while with YMCMB was never released.
The “Shortie Like Mine” rapper also shut down rumors of a rift between him and Birdman by adding that he completely respects the Cash Money CEO, and Bow Wow thanked him for taking a chance on his career.
As for his music career, Bow Wow has linked back up with Snoop Dogg and Jermaine Dupri, the two men responsible for the entertainer’s early success.
