Dear Rick Ross: Drugging Her Drink For Sex Is Rape Mar 25, 2013

Rick-Ross-Fur-Coat.jpgIn the latest Molly poppin lyrical fail by a rapper, Rick Ross brags on Future Rocko’s song called “U.O.E.N.O.” (you ain’t even know it) about drugging women’s drinks “and they don’t even know it.”“Put molly all in her champagne, she aint even know it,” he raps. “I took her home and I enjoyed that, she aint even know it.”

The timing of this lyric couldn’t be worse as women in Delhi fight to protect their womanhood from rape and young boys in America are being sent to jail because they think it’s ok to have sex with women who are too drunk or high to give consent.

No. No. No. This is not cool, swag or “bawse.” I don’t
href=”http://theurbandaily.com/2159918/rick-ross-rape-molly-uoeno/#”>care how many vaginal assaults a drugged-out actress asks for on Twitter, it is not acceptable to preach the practice of drugging women to have sex with them “without them even knowing.” If she didn’t know she didn’t give consent. And if she didn’t give consent she was raped. You’re out here telling your fans that it’s cool to rape women and YOU don’t even know it.

Ross’ lyrics are reprehensible on so many levels but as a man you have to ask yourself: What kind of sex am I having where I don’t want the woman to remember?

We can’t wait to hear how he tries to spin this one.

Ray J
still has no idea why Bad Azz attacked him last night — telling TMZ Live, he thought the two settled their beef a LONG time ago … but from here on out he just wants peace. As we first reported, Bad Azz said he used to be friends with Ray … but that ended in a blood feud after Ray J told Suge Knight that BA had been trash-talking him, and Suge’s people jumped him.BA didn’t say why he felt compelled to attack Ray … and Ray doesn’t know either, saying the fight completely blindsided him.

Ray said he had to defend himself, but he wants the fighting to end once and for all — telling us, “I don’t want this to get any crazier.”

As for whether he called that woman a “fat bitch” … you gotta hear Ray’s excuse.

Nationally Syndicated Radio Host Michael Baisden Bids Farewell to Radio

1

Michael Baisden

Dallas, TX (March 22, 2013) — Nationally syndicated radio personality Michael Baisden announced a hiatus from his radio show on his Facebook page that will begin on April 1, 2013. Baisden, who commands a daily audience of over seven million listeners, states he is unable to discuss the particulars but concluded that a deal could not be made on mutually agreeable terms. Recognized as one of the most influential men in radio, his “Michael Baisden Show” is one of the top rated afternoon drive radio programs heard in the top urban markets. He is also a TV talk show host, film-maker and New York Times best-selling author with nearly two million books in print.

Now in his tenth year on the air, Baisden wants his radio family to know he did everything in his power to continue his “Michael Baisden Show” without interruption. “We’re already planning to return to the air as soon as possible in a way that will give the ‘Michael Baisden Show’ a more direct relationship with our affiliates, and most importantly, our listeners,” cites Pamela Exum, his business manager. “We were unable to reach an agreement with our syndication partner. This was not a hostile situation, sometimes parties have different ideas and visions about how to move forward.”

Baisden began his career as an author, self publishing several best selling books including “Never Satisfied,” “Men Cry In The Dark,” “The Maintenance Man I and II,” “Do Men Know What They Want” and “God’s Gift to Women.” Two of his books were adapted to stage plays, starring such renowned actors as Richard Roundtree and Billy Dee Williams.

His radio highlights include one of his proudest moments when on September 20, 2007, he passionately and skillfully spearheaded the famous Jena 6 March in Jena, Louisiana. This historic and momentous occasion garnered tens of thousands of citizens of all races to peacefully march in support of six young men who had been unfairly treated by the justice system.

Another historic year was 2008 when Michael Baisden endorsed Senator Barack Obamaand went on to celebrate President Obama’s victory with over 4,000 fans at a watch party in Miami on election night. The Obama camp, along with millions of listeners, credited him with being one of the major forces behind this historic victory to elect the first African American to the Presidency of the United States and in his re-election in 2012.

In December 2009, Baisden called for a National Mentor Training Day and announced his plans for a 2010 nationwide campaign. He pledged up to $350,000 of his own money to be donated in over 72 markets he would visit on a bus tour. The outreach was named “One Million Mentors National Campaign To Save Our Kids.” His work with the Free Clinics, Trayvon Martin, Black & Missing Foundation, and national ongoing partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and Mentoring Brothers In Action are all a big part of what made the “Michael Baisden Show” so successful.

Baisden still vows to continue his Michael Baisden Live Tour with his co-host, comedian George Wilborn. It’s a One Night Only event with seminars, networking, a comedy show, and an ‘old school’ after party.

“If the affiliates still want us to come to town, we’ll be there,” says Baisden. “There’s no reason for our relationships to stop, in fact, this is our chance to get on the ground close to the people where we belong!”

A few of his upcoming events include Las Vegas with Power 88 on April 5th – 7th at the Soul Festival; Charlotte with WBAV on April 20th at For Sisters Only; Oklahoma City on May 3rd-4th for the Cowboys of Color Rodeo and the Annual Big Brothers Big Sisters Conference in Denver, CO June 24th – 25th to present the Michael Baisden Inspiration Award to a deserving mentor.

Baisden reflects, “It’s not about the job, it’s about the journey. I have been grinding for over 10 years, fighting for the underdog, inspiring people daily on my Michael Baisden Live Page on Facebook and working my butt off to produce the best show on radio. I hope my fans miss me… because I’m definitely going to miss them,” Michael says. “But this is not the end, it’s the Next Chapter because I’ll be back in mornings or afternoons! That’s right I said it!”

Pre-recorded “Michael Baisden Shows” will air through March 29th, but to stay current with Baisden, reach him via Facebook at /michaelbaisdenlive /www.facebook.com/michaelbaisdenlive or on Twitter @ BaisdenLive /www.twitter.com/BaisdenLive and at www.BaisdenLive.com.

Lil’ Kim Exposes Wendy Williams’ ‘Relationship’ With Notorious B.I.G. On Twitter

“You wanna rumble with the Bee, huh? Bzzzzz…”

After talk show host Wendy Williams mocked Lil Kim‘s dramatically altered face, the pint-size rapper exploded on Twitter and exposed an alleged, ummm, one-sided romantic affair that Williams’ had with theNotorious B.IG., also known as Biggie Smalls.

After an unflattering photo of Kim (see below) made the internet rounds, Kim claimed the image was photo-shopped. Williams laughed at that, saying that Kim was so plastic a pin would pop her, that she had “out-Latoya’ed Latoya Jackson,” and that she shouldn’t blame photo-shop, she should blame her plastic surgeon.

“ARE YOU GAY?” JOHNNY GILL OPENS UP ABOUT HIS SEXUALITY

3

(BlackMediaScoop) My, my my! Before there was One Direction, *NSYNC, Boyz II Men or even New Kids on the Block, there was New Edition – the original boy band of the ‘80s which paved the way for many groups to come.

Although he wasn’t part of the original lineup, Johnny Gill was an integral part of the band when he replaced Bobby Brown before moving on to have a solo career. For years, Gill has been surrounded by rumors that he was involved in a gay love affair with comedian Eddie Murphy while he was engaged to Tracey Edmonds (who happens to be Babyface’s ex wife & currently dating Deion Sanders…whew!). Some even say Johnny was the reason Eddie called off his marriage to Tracey…hmmm.

In a revealing new interview, he spoke with “omg! Insider’s” Kevin Frazier about all of these rumors and much more…WATCH thevideo below!

“There have always been questions about your sexuality, why?” Frazier asked Gill. “If I could tell you why I sure would have by now … at this point in time I would have been able to cure that issue … to get rid of that issue,” he explained. “I took (sic) for the life of me never, never understood where it came from, why it lasted as it’s lasted.”

In many ways, Gill, who will be featured in a new episode of TV One’s “unsung”, said that he sees the rumors to be the result of a bygone era, and yet he himself has progressive views about what it means to be gay. “I mean, you gotta remember, before there was Twitter, and Facebook, and all this other stuff, you know there was just the rag magazines. Whatever they say it was like that was the truth. People believe whatever it was,” he said. “But I don’t feel as bad anymore, because when I go on the Internet everybody’s gay … I’ve just always been a very private person.”

He continued, “Let me make sure we are clear on something. Whether it’s being called gay, accused of being gay, accused of a thief, accused of being anything or somebody’s lying [about] you and saying something about you that’s not true, it just doesn’t feel good … I have such compassion for gay people now more than ever. Just simply because in some odd way I’ve been able to walk in their shoes or to see … how they feel and how people treat them and deal with them because of their sexuality.”

And Gill explained to Frazier that he decided to take a lie detector test about rumors that he was romantically linked to his good friend Eddie Murphy … mainly because he didn’t want his girlfriend to have any doubt about his love for her. “I’m going to tell you guys something off the record that I know my girlfriend probably won’t be happy with me for saying this, to talk about this. But I’m going to say it. When we first got together – we’ve been together for five years – there was so much stuff floating around why are you dating this guy, this guy, he’s gay, blah, blah, blah, Eddie Murphy. All this stuff is going on and I’m like, ‘Do you believe it?’ She says, ‘No, I just hear everybody just keeps saying,’ and I said, ‘Let me tell you something.

Here’s what we are going to do…’ Woke up, we got the yellow pages, and you know, I mean, that was five years ago … So, we called this guy, he brought out his machine, strapped down to take a lie detector test. I wrote down questions, I made her write down questions … When the guy called back with the results and we both laying there in the bed. Tears came down … I would never want to lay next to someone that might even remotely have any doubt or question of who I am.”

Frazier went on to ask, “Why has this been one of the great urban myths in Hollywood? The hush, hush thing you don’t talk about? Johnny and Eddie Murphy they have this relationship … they’re together every day. They eat together every night. These two are a couple and everything else is a coverup. Where does that come from and why is that?” “Eddie could care less about it,” said Gill. “Eddie has always been Eddie and … anybody that knows Eddie, Eddie lives Eddie’s life and he looks at you straight up and tell you, ‘Ah keep messing with me and I’ll hit you with my wallet and knock you out.’”

Gill also talked about being on tour with his New Edition band mate Bobby Brown just over one year ago when the news broke about the death of his ex-wife, Whitney Houston. “You were with Bobby the day Whitney passed away … what was that like?” Frazier asked.
“When it hit, it hit like a ton of bricks for everybody and we were trying to figure it out,” Gill said. “Do we go forward with this? What do we do? How do we deal with this?” (New Edition was criticized by some in the media for performing on the night they learned of her death.)
“And Bobby came in, and I remember him telling all of us, ‘I know Nippy and she would want us to go forward.’ It was one of the most painful things I think I ever witnessed. And to go out on stage and to go, ‘Are we gonna be able to go through this?’ That was a challenge that showed me what everybody was made of.”

Gill also spoke about Whitney’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina. “Bobbi Kristina is in a place … I believe that she is on a path, on a road. I honestly believe that she’s gonna … it’s a tough thing for her to do but she’s gonna have to figure it out. I have great faith that she’s gonna be fine.”
Gill, whose career started at the age of 14, said that he feels sorry for today’s teen stars. “Justin [Bieber’s] in trouble,” Gill told Frazier. “Justin is just a kid and he’s growing up in front of our eyes. People have him under a microscope and he’s not being allowed room for error. People beginning to criticize him and he doesn’t know how to deal with it.”“Hey, I tripped too – I went crazy,” he continued. “There’s no blueprint when you become a star, someone to tell you how you’re supposed to act, how you’re supposed to deal with the money. You got to learn it as you go.” Finally, Gill talked about the financial problems that have plagued him in adulthood, although his story has a happy ending. “I was devastated, to work hard and to find out you got to get rid of things you worked hard for,” he said. “It got so bad that I, I didn’t lose my house. I wound up selling it in order not to lose it. I sold my cars, not cause they took them but I had to sell them in order make sure and get my debts paid and do what needs to be done. … So, it was hard, it was the hardest thing to do … And I never had a drug problem, I was never a big partier, I was none of that. All I did was spend money on having fun, flying around, and enjoying my family and doing things, and buying things I enjoyed doing. I didn’t have any vices.”

“So, what happened?” Frazier asked. “I think not being on top of my business, the way I should have been. It’s the way I am today … I have to credit Barry [Bonds] for doing that. Barry told me in 1992, something like that, ’93, he brought over a computer and said, ‘Dude, you need to be on top of your finances. You can see all your stuff, your financial records, they can’t move anything out of your bank account, even your accountants without your approval and you can go online and see all this. I was like, ‘Man, those are for nerds. Are you kidding me?’ They were intimidating – it was just intimidating. You look at a computer if you don’t know anything about it, you’re thinking, ‘Shoot, I’m not messing with that! Are you crazy? You have to be some kind of wizard, some kind of genius to mess with that stuff.’

Thankfully, although he lost everything, he earned it all back. Nowadays Gill is in strong financial shape with an estimated net worth of $10 million.

R&B crooner Bobby Brown (pictured) turned himself in to authorities on Tuesday morning and is currently behind bars for a 55-day stint as a result of a recent DUI conviction, according to TMZ.

Last March, a judge sentenced Brown to an alcohol treatment facility, probation, and a fine after he pleaded no contest to a DUI charge he had received one month after his former wife, iconic songstress,Whitney Houston, was buried.

In August, Two months after he married his second wife, Alicia Etheredge, in a lavish Hawaiian ceremony, Brown checked himself in to a 90-day rehab facility as part of his March DUI plea deal.  Just three weeks in to the program, though, a frustrated Brown checked himself out of the treatment center with family members accusing him of not taking his alcohol addiction seriously.

And in October, Brown refused a sobriety test that would have been administered by Los Angeles police.

Brown’s first legal scraping with the law involving his battles with the bottle was back in 1996 when he was slapped with a DUI.

Meanwhile, Brown’s recent conviction also carries 4-years probation and a mandate, forcing him to attend an 18-month alcohol program.

LIL WAYNE RECOVERING at His Mommy’s House EXCLUSIVE

2
1026-lil-wayne-tmz-3Lil Wayne is no different than anyone else when they’re not feeling well … they just want to home with their mommy … and TMZ has learned that’s exactly where Weezy is recouping.

As TMZ first reported, Wayne suffered two seizures this week and was hospitalized in Texas after the first one and in Louisiana after the second.

Our sources say Wayne’s doctors have advised him not to fly — so he rescheduled his flight out of LA yesterday and then cancelled it again today.

According to our sources, Wayne has not decided when he will leave town … so he’s staying with friends and family at his mom’s house where we’re told he’s been in good spirits.

As TMZ first reported, the seizures forced Wayne to miss a court date in Los Angeles on Friday in his case against Quincy Jones III. Wayne is suing over a documentary QIII made about Weezy.

Wayne’s lawyers are supposed to update the judge on his status on Monday, and it’s looking more and more like he will be unable to testify anytime soon.

After voicing her opinion on Michelle Williams’ performance during the Destiny’s Child Super Bowl halftime reunion, Keyshia Cole has taken to her Twitter accountonce again to speak her mind on Beyoncé’s newly released track, “Bow Down / I Been On.”

Judging from the Oakland native’s string of tweets, Bey’s lyrics have caused her to question the Grammy Award-winner’s reputation for women’s empowerment;

I done kept it real from the start!

Can’t stand when people all self righteous when it’s convenient it makes them look good. Lmao! But can still talk shit when convenient 2 FOH

Interesting. Meanwhile, aside from critiquing the ladies of Destiny’s Child, fans can catch Cole tonight when she performs on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”

MICHAEL JORDAN Paternity War CASE DISMISSED! EXCLUSIVE

1
0307_michael_jordan_01
The woman suing Michael Jordan for paternity and child support — claiming he fathered her 16-year-old son — has dismissed her case against the NBA star … but he might not be out of the woods yet.TMZ has learned Pamela Smith has filed legal documents in Georgia asking the judge to dismiss her case against MJ — and her request was granted without prejudice (meaning she can refile at a later time if she wants to).

It’s unclear why Pamela wanted the case dismissed — considering she had recently asked the court to order a DNA test ASAP.

It’s possible MJ and Pamela reached some sort of settlement … or agreed to halt legal action while they try to work things out. It’s also possible she simply decided to walk away thinking she would lose in court. We simply don’t know.

Either way, MJ has succeeded in taking the situation out of the public eye … at least for now.
