Today, the city of Atlanta put to rest one of its most famous recording artists in recent memory, Takeoff. The funeral service for the former Migos member took place inside State Farm Arena at 11 am. The remembrance of the young rapper’s life featured performances from the likes of Alicia Keys and Justin Bieber. One of the most touching moments of the memorial service came when his cousin and former bandmate, Offset, took to the podium to deliver a speech about his influence. A small video clip of his speech has already gone viral.
“You changed the culture of music forever,” Offset said. “You did that [Takeoff]…”
