We kind of had a feeling this could happen… is Nicki Minaj done with American Idol?
Nicki Minaj is killing the scene of entertainment! She hails the title as queen of rap, she’s got her own cosmetics and recently has been casted as a judge on American Idol. Is Minaj missing the studio? Is she ready to give up her gig with American Idol already?
Nicki Minaj told MTV reporters that it’s a possibility she’ll be back to making music soon:
“It’s possible, but for right now, I’m about to shoot another single off The Re-Up. The song is called ‘High School’ with Wayne. And then [I’ll] start working on that follow-up album.
It looks as if for now, the Nickster has not made her way to the recording booth just yet. MTV reported that she is focused and giving all her energy to the show, with hopes that a female takes the title this time.
“The stars have aligned and the girls that have come to audition for us have had just had strong voices like I don’t know what,” Minaj told MTV News. “We narrowed it down to some great girls. I think we did a great job picking amazing voices, so I am actually hoping a girl wins this year.”
