Can you believe it’s been an entire year since Beyoncé ‘stopped the world’ with the release of her surprise album?
To celebrate the album’s anniversary, Beyoncé dropped an 11-minute mini-movie called “Yours and Mine” in which she talks about marriage, feminism, and sexuality.
Check out a few excerpts about what Bey has to say:
On marriage: “People feel like they lose something when they get married. But, it doesn’t have to be that way. There’s nothing more exciting about having a witness to your life.”
On death: “I watched my friend’s body deteriorate…to see someone pass on so gracefully put everything into perspective”
On feminism: “I always considered myself a feminist, although, I was always afraid of that word because people put so much on it. When, honestly, it’s very simple. It’s just a person who believes in equality of men and women.”
