Draya Michele Reality Show!!!….Basketball Wives LA Gets Cancelled, But DRAYA Gets Her Own Show On VH1!! — Basketball Wives LA cancelled by VH1? Although the Basketball Wives spin-off returned for a second season, rumor has it that Basketball Wives LA has been cancelled.

Even with adding a few new faces to the mix with the outspoken Brooke Bailey and Bambi Benson and drumming up talk about Karrine Steffans joining the cast, the show’s ratings took a huge dip and it looked that Basketball Wives LA was on its way to getting the boot by the network.

Shaunie O’Neal assured viewers that the show would be getting a makeover yet some of the cast members decided to make their own moves before any cuts were made. Cast member Gloria Govan revealed that her time on BBWLA was most likely over and hinted that the show might not make it to a third season and was on the verge of cancellation.

And with the most recent reports that have been floating around, it sounded like Gloria was on to something as it is being said that Basketball Wives LA’s time on VH1 is up.

After hearing the multiple reports about Basketball Wives LA being cancelled, one of the show’s stars Draya Michele decided to take it upon herself to figure out what was really going on and went straight to the people over at VH1 to get the whole truth about the situation. And after she spoke with them, Draya took to her Twitter account to let everyone know that they haven’t seen the last of her on their television screens and that she would be appearing again on VH1.

Cause yesterday, one of Juelz’ homies caught Jojo SLIPPIN’ at a gas station and put the PRESSURE on him. JoJo was forced to get on his phone – call up Juelz to PROFUSELY apologize for making that track. No word if anything ELSE happened to JoJo . . . but the streets say that NO CRIME was committed against him.

Jay-Z is well aware of the controversy that his recent trip to Cuba with wife Beyoncé caused, but judging by his new song, “Open Letter,” he’s not too concerned about it.

“Politicians never did s-t for me/Except lie to me, distort history,” he raps in the nearly three-minute song. “Obama said, ‘Chill, you, gonna get me impeached. . . . We don’t need this s-t anyway, chill with me on the beach.”

Still, the trip was government-sanctioned. Jay-Z, 43, and Beyoncé, 31, spent a few days in Havana last week under a licensed program that encourages “meaningful contacts” with Cubans. And make contact they did.

The power couple was spotted dining at a popular local restaurant, chatting with children and enjoying their time in the tropical country. And according to Jay-Z, who rapped that he “turned Havana to Atlanta” with “Guayabera shirts and bandanas,” the trip was significant for him, too.

“I’m in Cuba, I love Cubans,” he continues. “This communist talk is so confusing/When it’s from China, the very mic that I’m using.”

China has cancelled screenings of Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained as the Asian country continues its policy of censoring Hollywood movies.

Chinese cinemas cancelled all screenings of Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained as the film was released on Thursday, according to local reports.

The Chinese news and entertainment website Sina revealed that cinemas across China were ordered to suspend screenings of the film.

Several unnamed cinema employees have claimed that the order came from the state-run film distributor China Film Group Corporation, which cited an unspecified technical problem with the film.

One user of Sina’s social media channel claimed they had been watching the film, which stars Jamie Foxx and Leonardo DiCaprio, when it was stopped “after just one minute”.

Other posters speculated that nude scenes or the “dangerous” theme of underdogs rising up by force had caused the film to be pulled.

China strictly censors films and other media for sexual and political sensitivities, and limits distribution of foreign films to protect the domestic industry.

Django Unchained was to be Tarantino’s first film to enjoy a commercial release in China.

Only yesterday it was reported that bloody scenes from the film – which tells the story of a freed slave who becomes a bounty hunter in Antebellum-era America – had been toned down for its Chinese release. Changes were said to include the colour of blood being made darker, although the film’s full-length running time of 165 was maintained.

This is the latest in a number of incidences where China has censored Western films. Earlier this year Chinese censors cut 40 minutes of love scenes from Hollywood film Cloud Atlas, and last year James Bond film Skyfall had scenes set in Chinese territories cut.

Men in Black 3, Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World’s End and Mission: Impossible 3 are also among films that have been heavily altered by the Chinese authorities.

Hollywood studios are now taking steps to recut and edit films to make them suitable for Chinese audiences far in advance of release. Earlier this week, it was reported that Brad Pitt’s forthcoming zombie epic World War Z would drop a reference to China in a scene where the characters debate where the origins of a zombie pandemic.

It is unclear if Django Unchained will be shown again in Chinese cinemas.

Fight the power? For Flavor Flav, It’s more like fight the charges.

A Las Vegas judge has ordered everyone’s favorite clock-wearing rapper to stand trial for allegedly threatening his longtime girlfriend’s teenage son with a butcher’s knife.

Per a report in the Las Vegas Sun, Justice of the Peace Melanie Andress-Tobiasson found during a hearing on Wednesday that there was enough evidence for Flav, whose real name is William Jonathan Drayton Jr., to be tried in state court on felony charges of assault with a weapon and child endangerment.

Flav was arrested on Oct. 17, 2012, after allegedly getting into a fight that turned violent with his girlfriend, Elizabeth Trujillo, whom he’s lived with for eight years.

According to the allegations, the Public Enemy member shoved the woman to the ground and was confronted by her 17-year-old son. At that point, the hip-hopster was said to have grabbed a butcher’s knife, a steak knife and a pizza cutter, chased the boy to a bedroom and threatened his life, stabbing the bedroom door with a knife.

The teenager—a 6-foot 3-inch, 200-pound high school football and basketball player whose name is being withheld because he’s underage—testified during Wednesday’s proceeding that he intervened during the 3 a.m. spat to protect his mom. He described for the court how the two pushed each other and how he put Flav into a headlock in the kitchen, as well as the obscenity Flav used when he made his alleged threat.

This news will probably be challenging for Janet Jackson fans to stomach, but the legendary icon has decided to put her entertaining days behind her. According to entertainment columnist Rob Shuter, the famed performing artist has grown tired of the entertainment industry and is moving to another country to convert to Islam.

This information comes slightly more than a month after news broke that she and billionaire retail businessman Wissam Al Mana of Qatar are married. ”The rumors regarding an extravagant wedding are simply not true,” the couple told ETOnline, which broke the official wedding news. “Last year we were married in a quiet, private, and beautiful ceremony.” The couple adds, “Our wedding gifts to one another were contributions to our respective favourite children’s charities.”

“We would appreciate that our privacy is respected and that we are allowed this time for celebration and joy,” the two said in their statement, signing off, “With love, Wissam and Janet”

The couple was initially slated to wed on New Year’s Eve; however, pre-nup terms by Al Mana’s attorneys were still underway to protect his wealth, so the wedding was postponed until spring 2013, according to mainstream media outlets. It was also alleged that 37-year-old Al Mana became impatient with the pre-nup terms and allegedly wrote an agreement stating a payout of $500 million if he and Janet split after a five-year marriage.

Of course, Janet isn’t starving for cash. According to Celebrity Networth, the youngest Jackson singer is worth an estimated $150 million, but we’re sure she’ll enjoy an extra $850 million acquired from her husband’s fortune. And although most couples don’t anticipate a divorce at the time of marriage, we’re sure she’ll be able to afford therapy to get over the relationship with an extra $500 million in her pocket. The couple seems to be very much into one another. Twice married Janet told Harper’s Bazaar in the November 2012 issue that she and Al Mana have a “deep connection.”

This is Janet’s third marriage and Wissam’s first.
