Answer:

Overall, “Eye of the Tiger” by the group “Survivor best represents success to me because the song embodies the spirit of pushing through obstacles and emerging victorious, making it a timeless anthem for success. And never losing the feeling’s or hunger that got you to the top in the first place. 

Who is your dream artist or musician to collaborate with?

Answer:

Drake, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Miguel, and the producer Just Blaze

What does your dream performance look like?

Answer:

My dream performance would be equal parts massive, yet intimate. I’d love to sell out Madison Square Garden or any venue of any size, filled with loyal fans singing every word and people discovering my music for the first time and really savoring the experience I’m bringing as their first impression and introduction to my artistry. The energy would be high at some points but mixed in with more intimate songs so I could connect with the whole emotional spectrum of my audience and truly create a once in a lifetime experience.

Drake: His versatility and extensive discography ensure a diverse and engaging listening experience, covering a wide range of emotions and themes.
Kendrick Lamar: Known for his powerful lyrics and innovative approach to Hip Hop, Kendrick’s music is thought-provoking and deeply impactful. His storytelling ability and social commentary make his work timeless and compelling.
J. Cole: With his introspective lyrics and relatable storytelling, J. Cole’s music offers a blend of meaningful messages and catchy beats, making him a great choice for long-term listening.
These three artists provide a rich mix of versatility, emotional depth, and innovative sound that would keep my music library fresh and engaging.

How would you describe your favorite artist’s music to someone who has never heard them before?

Answer:

Drake’s Music:

Versatile and Genre-Blending: Drake’s music seamlessly blends elements of Hip Hop, R&B, and pop, creating a unique and versatile sound that appeals to a wide audience.

If you could go on tour with any artist, who would it be and why?

Answer:

1.Drake: Touring with Drake would be an incredible experience due to his massive global fanbase and his ability to sell out arenas. His diverse setlist, ranging from high-energy rap tracks to smooth R&B ballads, would keep the audience engaged and excited. Plus, his influence and connections in the industry could open many doors for me.

2. J. Cole: Touring with J. Cole would offer a more intimate and soulful experience. His concerts often feel personal and connected, with a strong emphasis on storytelling and lyrical depth. This could be a great opportunity to connect with audiences on a deeper level.

If you could attend a performance by any artist, dead or alive, who would you choose and why?

Answer:

I would love to attend a performance by Michael Jackson, just to be in the presence of greatness and see a legend at the peak of their craft would be an unforgettably impactful experience to witness in person.

What is the most memorable response you’ve had to your work?

Answer:

The most memorable response to my work was when one of my fans cried because the song they heard was so beautiful and resonated with them deeply.

Which mediums of art do you most identify with?

Answer:

The art mediums I most identify with are music, painting, and photography. 

How have your other passions reinforced your process of making music?

Answer:

My passions reinforced my process of making music because I already loved singing and writing poetry, and making my own music seemed to me like the natural evolution of my talents blending together to elevate each passion all at once.  

What role do you believe the artist has in our society?

Answer:

An Artist’s role in society can be whatever they want it to be. They should have the freedom to decide. But also “with great power comes great responsibility” so an artist has to be aware of the power they have and how that can impact the world with how they use it.

What has been your most embarassing moment while pursuing music?

Answer:

My most embarrasing moment while pursuing music has been making bad music while beginning my musical journey, but it was all apart of the process because it got me to this point in my journey and I’m thankful for that. 

What jobs have you done other than being an artist?

Answer:

Other than being an artist, Ive been a Tour Guide at the Motown Museum in Detroit

Answer:

I would alter the music industry by making sure everyone got compensated fairly. There’s enough money in the music industry to make sure everyone get paid what they are supposed to.

Answer:

My definition of success as an artist is being able to take care of your family and live comfortably from the success of your art. This success can be measured by money or by the lives you’ve impacted from your artistry.

Answer:

My name is Symba J and I am an artist, producer, singer-songwriter, rapper, and poet.

How does your background play into this song?

Answer:

My background plays into this song because as a person in general, we all want to be loved in one way, shape, or form. So I drew inspiration from that essential human need when crafting this song.

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?

Answer:

My earliest memory of listening to music was riding with my mom in in the car playing the now defunct smooth jazz radio station in Detroit called V 98.7, as well as gospel songs she had to learn as apart of the church choir.

At what moment in your life did you decide to become an artist / performer?

Answer:

I became a performer at the age of 4 when leading a song for my mother’s choir in church one Sunday morning.

Answer:

The genres this release play to are: R&B (Rhythm and Blues), Rap, and Hip Hop

How has your sound and style evolved in the last 3 years?

Answer:

My sound and style has evolved in the last 3 years by being more introspective and open to the human experience and mining the vast inpirations that life gives us to craft unique songs from it.

What themes do you explore throughout your music?Answer:

I explore the themes of love, hearbreak, and all the emotions in between, as well as human life in general, in my music.

How would you describe your music to someone who has never heard it before?

Answer:

My music is made to nourish the soul and document stories that speak to the human experience, especially matters of the heart.

What is the strangest place where you have discovered a new song?

Answer:

Honestly I haven’t discovered music in any strange places, I either hear them while watching a television show or movie, on a music station from a streaming platform, or recommendations from people

What do you want people to feel when they listen to your music?

Answer:

I want people to feel like they arent alone in the world, that theres someone who can relate to them in some way.

What is your favorite way of sharing your music?

Answer:

My favorite way of sharing music is directly to my fans via social media. That way I am able to get reactions in real time to how music is received. 

What is your favorite song you have made, and why?

Answer:

Honestly all of my songs are my favorite because each song is apart of me in some way.

Answer:

Answer:

Yes I do practice. My practice hasn’t changed over time. As the saying goes, “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it!”

How do you plan on being a game-changer within your genre?

Answer:

I plan on being a game changer in my genre just by being myself and bringing my ability to translate my experiences and what I’ve seen/ been inspired by and putting them into a song.

What has been your scariest experience while pursuing music?

Answer:

Being vulnerable in my music on a grander scale has been the scariest experience, but also the most rewarding because people can relate to it.

Has being an artist made your life lonely? How do you counteract this?

Answer:

Being an artist has actually made me less lonely because people connect with me through my music and vice versa

How would you define having an artistic outlook on life?

Answer:

Everything  in life can be viewed as Art and/or inspiration. It all depends on the perspective of the artist.

Answer:

Women are my favorite work of art because they are all beautiful in their own way.

To connect and bring people together so they know they are not alone in the world.

What is the most significant lesson you’ve learned through being an artist?

Answer:

The most significant lesson i’ve learned through being an artist is that life is the biggest source of inspiration.

Do you have one main reason driving you to continue making music?

Answer:

I continue to make music because it is therapeutic and feels good to take from personal experiences and create art with it, taking an idea and bringing it to life is very rewarding.
