By now everyone is aware of the executive order that President Donald Trump signed on Friday that temporarily bans citizens from seven Muslim-majority countries as well as refugees from entering the United States. It only took a few hours to witness the suffering that occurred among the people and families who were detained in airports across the country. Most of these people had left the turmoil of their country behind to come to a nation that promises hope and a better way of life.
The confusion and chaos continued on Saturday morning as US law enforcement agencies, airports and foreign capitals tried to grasp the US’s new policy. Most people were shocked and rightfully so. People took to airports across the country as well as social media to protest the president’s ban. Even celebrities got involved in the protests. One celebrity took to Twitter to express her disgust at Donald Trump. Superstar singer and songwriter, Rihanna had a lot to say about Trump’s Muslim Ban.
Disgusted! The news is devastating! America is being ruined right before our eyes! What an immoral pig you have to be to implement such BS!!
Rihanna recently joined the Women’s March in New York City and was caught dabbing in front of Trump Tower in a protester’s video.
There’s no love lost between these two as their hate filled relationship goes way back. In 2012 Rihanna was supposed to perform a charity gig for the Donald and backed out at the last minute. Needless to say, Trump was pissed.
Then there was this:
If @rihanna is dating @chrisbrown again then she has a death wish. A beater is always a beater–just watch!
Needless to say, we should probably all expect his head to explode once he sees the tweet. It’s safe to assume that he will not be a happy camper.
Since Rihanna’s tweet, there has been some updates on the Muslim ban. On Saturday night, a federal judge granted an emergency stay for people who have already arrived in the United States and those who are in transit, and who hold valid visas, ruling they can legally enter the country.
Let’s hope this becomes a permanent ruling for our country’s sake. Stay tuned.
