Cosby’s day of reckoning is set for Monday, September 24, when he will be formally sentenced for the crimes he was convicted of committing against former Temple University employee Andrea Constand back in 2004. The 81-year-old entertainment icon is facing a maximum of 30 years in the bing. But given his ability to push for an appeal, and the resources that he has to pay bail and remain far from a correctional facility, it is quite possible that he could live his last days as free as he has since the judge overseeing the proceedings ruled that he may remain confined to his residence leading up to this week’s sentencing.

On Saturday, TMZ reported that authorities close to the case have expressed that such an arrangement won’t cut it for those invested in seeing Cosby brought to justice and that Constand’s team “will push for the disgraced comedian/felon to be immediately hauled off to prison once the judge sentences him Monday AM.”

To Cosby’s advantage, it doesn’t appear that the prosecution has been effective in getting its way. Most recently, they saw their request to have additional accusers be allowed to testify at the sentencing hearing shot down. Whether the judge will be just as tough to sway on Monday, remains to be seen.
