It’s been a month since Beyoncé and Destiny’s Child wowed Superbowl audiences with their electric halftime show, but the chatter around Keyshia Cole‘s criticism of Michelle Williams‘ performance won’t die down.

Now, Williams’ bandmate Kelly Rowland is standing up for her friend, speaking out for the first time about Cole’s negative comments.

“It didn’t even make it on my radar until other people brought it up,” Rowland tells RollingStone.com. “It didn’t even matter. We had a wonderful performance, and that’s all I cared about. I was with my sisters and the three of us matter to each other, and that’s all that counts.”

She adds, “we matter to a lot more people, with all due respect, than her. So, I really don’t care what she said.”

As a member of the most popular girl group in a decade, Rowland clearly has had plenty of experience dealing with haters. Williams, on the other hand, seems to have decided to simply ignore Cole’s comments altogether.
