Questions of Nelly and Shantel Jackson‘s relationship status have been buzzing the net since photos of the two were posted on Instagram. Now, the ex-fiancée of Floyd Mayweather is opening up about their apparent romance.

In a recent interview with Hip Hollywood, “Miss Jackson” revealed she’s not in a relationship with Nelly yet, but there is something going on between the pair. It appears as if the St. Louis-bred rapper swooped in to court her after her breakup with Mayweather, which led to a beef between him and the boxing champ.

“I wouldn’t right now say that it is a full blown relationship. We are getting to know each other, we are building a friendship,” she told the outlet. “So as of right now, everything is like, in the beginning stages.”

It’s also been reported Nelly is working on his own reality show for BET, in which the beauty will appear as his love interest.

“He has this amazing show coming up on BET as of right now,” Jackson said. “There were rumors that we were already filming or people thought they knew what we were doing, but that was untrue. We haven’t filmed anything as of yet. Everything just came about.”

The show will focus on Nelly’s career, family life with his children and his “relationship” with Jackson.

Back in May, Mayweather claimed he broke up with her for aborting their child and posted the abortion documents on Instagram. His lashing out came shortly after pictures of Jackson and Nelly hit the net.
