Five Michigan teenagers are set to be charged as adults for killing a 32-year-old father of four named Kenneth White. According to reports, the teenagers were playing a prank called “dinging” which consists of them throwing rocks from above and hearing them “ding” the cars that pass by below. Kenneth White was on his way back home with his co-worker driving the car when the vehicle was hit by a six-pound rock that crashed through the windshield.

The teenagers who committed the act were identified as Kyle Anger, Trevor Gray, Mark Sekelsky, Alexander Miller, and Mikadyn Payne. Their ages range from 15 to 17. Despite their ages, all of the boys will be charged as adults for conspiracy, malicious destruction of property, and second-degree murder. According to Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton, Kyle Anger was the person who tossed the rock that went through the windshield and took White’s life. White received some lethal injuries which included a cut on his chest, brain damage, and a broken skull. As a result of the rock going through the windshield and hitting him, he died from blunt force trauma.

The police noted that the teenagers went over the prank before doing it, and then headed to McDonald’s after they were done. Since being charged, all of the teenagers pleaded not guilty. They were all denied bond. If convicted, each teen will face a life sentence in prison.
