On Tuesday (Jan. 5), TMZ broke the news that legendary hip hop producer Dr. Dre is being hospitalized after suffering from a brain aneurysm.

The outlet, nor any other news publication, has yet to reveal the cause of the music vet’s condition, but Dre is continuing to have tests run while he’s in Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. “Sources connected to Dre and with direct knowledge tell us, Dre suffered the aneurysm Monday and was rushed by ambulance to Cedars and was taken directly to ICU, where he remains Tuesday,” TMZ claims.

The site continues, “Our sources say the 55-year-old music mogul is stable and lucid, but doctors don’t know what caused the bleeding and they are doing a battery of tests.”https://94235ab266f52aa88e9e6b61b7e2c2dc.safeframe.googlesyndication.com/safeframe/1-0-37/html/container.html

Dre is currently in the middle of a divorce with his estranged wife, Nicole.

At the end of 2020, Dre was in the news after Swizz Beatz and Timbaland spoke about a potential Verzuz between himself and REVOLT Media & TV’s very own chairman, Sean “Diddy” Combs. When asked about the possibility — as small as it may be — Swizz said, “I can’t even say what’s not gonna happen anymore. We just let the universe naturally make things happen. I’m not gonna say no, I’m never going to say no anymore!”

Juicy J even previously tweeted that he wanted to enter the Verzuz ring with the legend. “I wanna do a [Verzuz] battle wit Dr Dre no cappuccino,” the Three 6 Mafia co-founder said back at the end of June. “I produced a lot of songs check my catalog shits long mane. I’m [grateful] to still do what I love to do.”

Since hearing of his current condition, fans of Dre have taken to social media to offer their prayers that he pulls through and makes a quick recovery.
