Back in November, Kendrick Lamar linked up with XXL for the cover shoot of the Winter 2014 issue. With his TDE family, and his famed “i” hat in tow, K Dot took it full throttle at the photo-shoot, additionally penning the cover story “Writer At War,” by himself.
“What happened today is family getting back together,” says Kendrick in the clip above. “Me and XXL have a long history that goes beyond the magazine.”
The footage above was shot in mid-November and follows Lamar while shooting both the cover images and additional video segments. Jay Rock also stopped by to accompany his TDE colleague at the shoot. Press
