The Weeknd “earned it” and now’s he’s giving some of it to the Black Lives Matter movement.

The Grammy-winning singer, born Abel Tesfaye, has donated $250,000 to the activist network, the crooner announced Wednesday.

The hefty pledge comes a month after he took to Twitter following the police deaths of Philando Castile and Alton Sterling in July.

“Enough is enough. It’s time to stand up for this. We can either sit and watch, or do something about it. The time is now. #blacklivesmatter,” he wrote at the time.

“#bluelivesmurder,” he added in a follow-up tweet. The Canadian crooner frequently shared other tweets supporting Black Lives Matter.

His financial support comes days after he donated $50,000 to the University of Toronto to aid with the creation of a Ethiopic Studies program.

The 26-year-old, born to Ethiopian parents,  was born and raised in Canada. The BLM network has a chapter in “The Hills” singer’s hometown of Toronto.

Earlier in the year, Tidal — rapper Jay-Z’s music streaming service — awarded $1.5 million from a Brooklyn charity concert to the social justice group on what would have been Trayvon Martin’s 21st birthday.
