Recent Golden Globe winner, Taraji P. Henson, has signed on to star in a movie about a group of black women who provided NASA with vital mathematical data required to launch the first successful space missions.

Based on Margot Lee Shetterly’s book of the same name, 2000’s Hidden Figures is scheduled to be released Jan. 13, 2017.

Henson recently signed with UTA for representation, and the agency wasted no time in lining up a starring role in a studio film.

According to reports, Ted Melfi will direct the film and Donna Gigliotti (Silver Linings Playbook) is producing it.
