Snoop Dogg’s son Cordell Broadus is to select his college football home today and all eyes will be watching as he selects live on ESPNU this afternoon at National Signing Day. Today at National Signing Day, along with thousands of other players, Broadus will make his choice. Many anticipate that he may choose the University of California-Los Angeles (UCLA) Bruins or his dad’s choice, the University of Southern California (USC) Trojans. But the verdict is still out.

Broadus, a Nevada High School wide receiver ranked number 130 in the ESPN300 has received offers from a long list of schools in addition to UCLA. According to SB Nation, Arizona State, LSU, UCLA and USC are the super star’s son’s favorites.

While money may not be a factor at this time for Broadus, looking down the road here is how top picks from his favorite faired vs. his dad’s favorite in the pro leagues.

Anthony Barr was a first-round draft pick offensive linebacker from UCLA last year. Barr scored a four-year contract worth $12.7 million with the Minnesota Vikings. On the other hand, Marqise Lee was a second-round pick wide receiver from USC last year. Lee’s contract was for $5.7 million over four years with the Jacksonville Jaquars.

However, according to USC data they have 77 NFL first round draft picks and they boast that they have more first round picks than any other school. Of course each player’s contract is individually based, so Broadus will be rewarded based on his performance.

So, may the best school win.
