Variety reports that shortly after Minaj parted ways with her management she entered into an agreement to tour together, with the news coming soon after the release of their single “Wobble Up”, a collab featuring Brown, Minaj and G-Eazy.
While a schedule of tour dates hasn’t yet been released, Variety notes that the website of the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, lists Chris Brown as headlining on Sept. 13, with the addition of “Featuring Nicki Minaj.”
While Brown and Minaj have performed together plenty of times in the past, Minaj’s live performances have been plagued by problems in recent months, including her guest spot at Coachella during Ariana Grande’s headlining set, which was reportedly riddled with technical problems involving the sound.
Last year, Minaj’s North American tour co-headlining with Future was postponed due to production issues, while several dates on the European leg of the tour were likewise postponed.
An official announcement should be forthcoming.
