Ne-Yo Hit With Defamation Lawsuit From Former Girlfriend

Brit Awards - Red Carpet Arrivals

A woman who once claimed that Ne-Yo was her child’s father is now suing him for defamation. Jesseca White (not the supermodel) claims that the singer-songwriter broke their confidentiality agreement and defamed her by discussing their paternity suit on VH1′s Behind The Music.

Just in case you’re not familiar with the story, White had a son named Chimere in 2005. She listed Ne-Yo as the father on the birth certificate, however a paternity test proved otherwise. The former lovebirds settled the dispute with a $575,000 settlement and confidentiality agreement.

Here’s what Ne-Y had to say about the experience on VH1:

“I didn’t care who the father was. In my mind I was still Chimere’s father. I was there when he was born. I saw him when he first came out. I held him,” he said. “In the state of California if you put yourself out there as the father, the mother can then come after you for child support like you’re the biological father. We settled out of court for what I feel like is an ungodly amount and shortly after that Jessica and Chimere vanished.”

Now, back to present day, White claims that she was defamed, ridiculed and harassed by Ne-Yo remarks, including loosing work opportunities and being called “c**t,” “bitch,” “pathetic” and “gold-digging bitch.”

According to TMZ, White’s lawsuit says the Grammy Award-winning artist painted her to be “an unchaste woman who deliberately tricked him into believing he was the father of her child … so that she could fraudulently bilk him of ‘ungodly amounts of money.’”

She’s suing for an undisclosed amount.
