James Corden found a clever way to make his nightmarish morning commute a dream.
“The traffic’s so bad that if I don’t have someone with me it’s a bit of a nightmare,” he said to his passenger.
Tagging along for the ride and some musical relief was none other than Mariah Carey, who humored the “Late Late Show” host by engaging in carpool karaoke of her greatest hits.
Although he tricked her initially by casually suggesting they turn they radio on, the 44-year-old singer jumped right in when she heard her song “Always Be My Baby.”
Corden was especially pumped up when they sang Carey’s hit “Fantasy” as the late night host rapped every word of Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s part.
No Mariah Carey sing-a-long would be complete without her first hit song, “Vision of Love.”
Then the pair wrapped by singing “Thirsty” with Corden as the ultimate hype man.
“Thank you so much for helping me get to work,” he said.
