Floyd Mayweather finds new and more inventive ways to spend money every day, as according to TMZ, he just put down a whopping $25,000 on a new mouthpiece for when he faces Pacman on May 2nd.
Why so expensive? Because Mayweather could never settle for the average boxer’s grill piece, and has had his NYC-based dentist, Dr. Lee Gause, craft many expensive pieces for his fights in the past, including mouthpieces decked out in diamonds, created with gold flakes, and including $100 bills bent to the shape of the grill and placed inside.
Dr. Gause is so dedicated to Mayweather, that he often catches flights out to Vegas solely to adjust the champ’s piece before the fight. Mayweather returns the favor by giving props to his dentist, telling TMZ, “My career’s gone on 19 years and I’ve been able to preserve my smile.”
