Dr. Dre visited Real 92.3 and spoke openly with Big Boy about a heap of topics. These subjects ranged from the good doctor recently celebrating his 50th birthday, to reconnecting with Ice Cube for the heavily anticipated N.W.A. biopic,  ‘Straight Outta Compton.’

Dr. Dre was initially met with feelings of trepidation when creating the biopic. He said, “I was worried about it in the beginning. As a matter-of-fact, I didn’t even want to do the movie.” The billion dollar mogul went on to reveal, “I was nervous about putting a blemish on our legacy. The story had to be told right.”

The iconic producer turned astute businessman spoke highly about his upcoming film, ‘Straight Outta Compton.’ As a member of the legendary group, N.W.A., he speaks on how surreal it is to watch others share their story. ‘The Chronic’ beat-smith and rapper confided how difficult it was to witness actor, Jason Mitchell, portray the late Eazy-E. He also praised his “incredible” depiction of his late-friend.

Check out the full interview to learn more about how Ice Cube and F. Gary Gray worked to make the film as “authentic as possible,” its pending soundtrack, and if Dre will soon be releasing any new music.
