We’ve all gone through some hard times, haven’t we?

Periods of depression, dark days where the world seems to conspire against us and our phone battery dies before lunch.

That’s just life: Some days, you get the prom queen; other days, you sulk off to bump Drake and eat Vaseline (NSFW).

But in those grim times, where the light at the end of the tunnel seems dimmest, just know: Right now, as we go about our lives, there is a museum in China dedicated entirely to Stephon Marbury. And I can’t think of anything more heartening than that.

And yes, this is a real thing.

According to China Daily, the former NBA guard-turned-Chinese Basketball Association demigod attended the unveiling of the House of Marbury museum Monday.

Located in downtown Beijing, the 300-square-meter area was constructed by the city government in appreciation of Marbury’s contributions to local sports. It displays photos and memorabilia from Marbury’s childhood, ascension to NBA stardom and the success he eventually found overseas playing for the Beijing Ducks.

“Today was one of the best days of my life in opening my own museum: The House of Marbury,” Marbury said at the unveiling ceremony. “I couldn’t have dreamed this dream for myself, although God has created another miracle in this life for me. Without my teammates, coaches and fans from Beijing, this wouldn’t be possible.”

This is great news, and Marbury’s museum should stand as a beacon of hope for anyone who has ever been knocked down and considered staying down for good.

Life can sweep you out of the paint and leave you feeling washed and discarded. But if you keep the faith and continue grinding, just know that you can have a historical landmark documenting your life in one of the world’s biggest cities.

Thank you, Stephon. I’d tell you to keep doing you, but I know that’s the only thing possible.

Dan is on Twitter. He’ll die happy once he’s achieved his life’s goal of running into Stephon Marbury at a Las Vegas pool party.
