Say what you may about Chris Brown, but as of this month he can legitimately add “successful painter” to his bio. A few pieces of the singer’s art recently sold at auction for more than $60,000 and interest appears to keep growing in his work.
Brown paints under the pseudonym Konfuzed.
According to Page Six
The controversial singer painted works with street artist KAI on-site during Fine Art Auctions Miami’s Urban Art Week.
The pair made seven works together, and also painted on a vintage Porsche — then submitted several of the pieces for sale alongside lots by artists including KAWS, Shepard Fairey and Keith Haring.
Two Brown canvases sold for $25,000 each, and a third went for nearly $12,000. Half the proceeds went to charity.
