Detroit wordsmith Big Sean sat down with The Come Up Show in Canada recently and chopped it up about participating in OVO Fest, his journey to stardom and how he was able to overcome his fears to live the life he always dreamed of.
The G.O.O.D. Music rapper first spoke on joining “Blessed” collaborator Drake for his OVO Fest in Toronto, saying it was an easy gig to take because of his friendship with the 6 god. He also spoke on mastering patience in order to get where he is today, as the journey of an unknown kid from Detroit to being on one of Hip-Hop’s premier labels didn’t happen overnight. When it comes to conquering fear, Big Sean believes you simply have to weigh the pros and cons of moving forward or being paralyzed by your uncertainties.
Big Sean also revealed what’s currently on his reading list, saying he recently read “The Alchemist” and “Ask and It Is Given,” saying they are two of his favorite reads right now. He’s also a fan of “The Four Agreements,” which he can name off the top of his head.
