Article Image: Kyrie Irving Requests Trade, Reportedly Doesn't Want to Work with LeBron

Earlier this week, Kyrie Irving spoke about the current climate of the Cavaliers due to lack of roster upgrades, and he told the media that it’s “a very peculiar place, and we just need to make sure that all our pieces are aligned first, and then we go from there.” He added, “It’s the summertime, a lot of craziness going on in the NBA, so best to just observe, and then see what happens. Obviously, there’s some things that I’m pretty sure our organization wants to do, and we’ll go from there.”

There has been nothing but good news behind headlines regarding 50 Cent over the past couple of weeks. Within 24-hours of him telling Jimmy Kimmel that he played a part in getting the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Conor McGregor fight off of the ground, the hip-hop heavyweight was announcing that he’ll be dropping an album later this year. Now, with the buzz still resonating about Street King Immortal likely being his final solo recording, it appears 50 has bowed out of another one of his business ventures and is making off pretty well from his final transaction.

During Monday’s [July 17] airing of the Breakfast Club Rumor Report, Angela Yee reported that the G-Unit boss has sold his minority stake in Effen Vodka. Fif has held a stake in the Netherlands liquor company since 2014, when he purchased an undisclosed share from Sire Spirits LLC. No longer will he be the brand’s lead spokesperson, thus signifying the end of his competition with Diddy’s Ciroc business.

DJ Envy commented on the situation during Angela’s segment, revealing that 50 Cent pocketed a cool $60 million in the deal, which he confirmed on Instagram. The famed entertainer wrote in a post, “I got the bag, EFFEN Vodka Can you say 60M’s since they like counting my money DO THE MATH. Lol.”

    Check out the post above.

After Swizz Beat and Just Blaze got together to put on a beat battle reminiscent of the DJing competitions of hip-hop’s early days in the 1980’s, Swizz issued a challenge to Virginia production genius, that for months went unresponded to. This week the Virginia native finally answered the call, stating, “Swizz.. you have woken up Timbo Son. Challenge accepted. I’m with the smoke,” in a video posted to his Timbo the King Instagram page. And confirmation that the super-producer battle is actually going down has sparked a fire under the Bronx anthem maker. He is so giddy about it, he has been eagerly spreading the word.

“You know, I popped off on Timbaland too,” Swizz told Conor McGregor when he bumped into him back stage at the last press conference with Floyd Mayweather on Friday, July 16. Swizz brought Timbo’s name up as McGregor was elaborating on how his appearance on stage by the undefeated boxing champ’s side was something close to the experience at a Swizz Beats show. “It’s like a rap concert out there these days,” he said.

Swizz has always been one to take his craft and those with respect for it, back to the basics. Back in 2007, he battled Kanye West on stage at Summer Jam. The battle’s results were highly contested, as was his battle against Just Blaze; although many felt that Swizz pulling out an unreleased track featuring Nas, Jay Z, Jadakiss and DMX won him the night.

‘Money’ accused the Irishman hours earlier at the New York press conference of racist insults concerning black women

The pair landed this afternoon on identical private Zetta Jet planes – but not the same jet as first reported – on their world tour to promote their super fight on August 26 in Las Vegas.

Tensions have simmered all week in Los Angeles, Toronto and New York with the fighters engaging in intense trash talk which threatened to spill over last night.

And fans are expecting another bad-tempered clash at the SSE Wembley Arena from 7pm tonight. Follow the live stream and blog on the press conference here.

McGregor attempted to defend himself from racist accusations levelled last night after telling Mayweather, “Dance for me, boy,”.

He insisted he was “half black from the belly down” and that it was a “present for my beautiful, black female fans.”

Outrage immediately followed with Mayweather slamming the Notorious for his remarks.

“We can’t judge a man for what we hear from others, we must judge a man for how he treats us,” Mayweather said.

“He totally disrespected my daughter, the mother of my daughter, he disrespected black women and he called black people monkeys.

“I’m proud to be a black man and to be an American.

“He can’t do that. You cannot disrespect black women. You cannot disrespect black people. Period.”

McGregor later responded to the outrage, claiming he does “not even see colour.”

“That doesn’t sit well with me,” McGregor said. “I am a very multi-cultured individual.

“I do not have any ill feeling toward anyone. I do not even see colour.

“I just wanted to say something that I could have a little fun with.

“I just wanted to play with it and address it in my own little way.

“It’s stupid and it’s ridiculous, that’s basically what I was getting at.”
