The unpredictability of life has a way of forcing us to internally contend with ourselves, as is the case with 50 Cent following the death of Kobe Bryant. Since the devastatingly tragic news of the fatal helicopter crash that claimed the lives of the NBA legend, his daughter Gianna Maria-Onore Bryant and seven others, many of the sport’s icon’s longtime fans, colleagues and peers have taken to social media to express their grief and shock.

  1. In light of Bryant’s death, many individuals have found themselves reflecting on the tenets that Bryant instilled within himself throughout his distinguished 20-year basketball career. As a hero to many, Kobe stood out as an example of the greatness that one could possibly achieve, especially in light of the major moves he was making in his post-NBA career.RELATED: Kobe Bryant Helicopter Crash: Here’s What We Know
  2. 50 took to social media where he said that the untimely loss of Bryant has inspired him to work towards becoming a better person. “I feel like I have to achieve want I want in life now after this. I have to focus,” Fifty wrote  in an Instagram post, which was re-shared by The Shade Room to the outlet’s official Instagram on Monday (Jan. 27). The G-Unit honcho’s first order of change is that he will no longer entertain arguments going forward. “I’m not arguing with anyone anymore,” he vowed. “I’ll deal with it another way if there’s a problem.”
  3. This is a major admission from Fifty given his long history of igniting public disputes on social media. Additionally, the New York rap icon has tended to numerous long-standing feuds with other rappers and entertainers throughout his musical career, which at times have even included affiliates of his own G-Unit clique. We’re glad to know he’s turning over a new leaf despite it being under such grim circumstances.Read 50 Cent’s sentiments in full below.
