In the past, 50 Cent has talked a good game when it came to his bold-faced betting habits, but ultimately he later bailed when it came to one of those said bets, in which he didn’t fork over some major bucks ($1 million to be exact) to rapper Webbie. Although Curtis allegedly didn’t hold up his end of the bargain on that occasion, it appears the G-Unit commander-in-chief isn’t letting his past transgressions with gambling put an end to his braggadocios ways.
In fact, with Money Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao’s fight now scheduled for May 2nd, 50, who recently had his very own issues with Floyd (which they’ve somewhat squashed), is putting his money where his mouth is and betting a staggering $1.6 million on his longtime friend.
Making a visit to Power 105’s The Breakfast Club, Curtis and the rest of his G-Unit crew stopped to promote their latest EP, The Beast is G-Unit, and during their interview, he made the bold revelation that he believes Money Mayweather would not only defeat Pac – but he’ll do it with ease.
50 Cent went on to say, “Champ ‘gon smoke em … it’s gonna look like [the fight] was pumped up for no reason.” Why so much, you ask? Well according to him, after seeing Floyd at a recent Chris Brown concert last month, he states that Money May appeared really sharp, in tip-top shape, and more focused than ever. We will all learn the outcome come May 2nd.
